Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision on the B4568 Aberhafesp to Newtown road, at approx. 4.50am this morning (Monday May 2). Officers attended the scene immediately, where the car - a blue Ford Fiesta, was found on its roof. Other emergency services were also in attendance, but sadly the one occupant of the car was declared deceased at the scene. Next of kin have been informed and are being supported.

“Dyfed-Powys police attended a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 10.15pm on Friday, April 22, 2022 on the A483 between Newtown and Welshpool. The vehicles involved were a blue Honda CV car and a blue Yamaha motorcycle. The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance. The road was closed with diversions in place. Dyfed-Powys Police attended a fatal two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred just after 4.30pm on Friday 15th April 2022 on the A40 between Glangrwyney and Bwlch. The two vehicles involved were a blue Mini Cooper and a white Triumph Daytona motorcycle. Sadly, the female rider of the motorcycle died at the scene. Next of kin have been advised. A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. He has been released under investigation pending further police inquiries.

Dyfed-Powys Police is appealing for witnesses or dashcam footage following a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the A483, between Llanbister and Camnant, at approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday, 16th March.
The two-vehicle collision involved a white Toyota Yaris and a Volkswagen Passat. A 20-year-old woman and a 36-year-old woman were both taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries. One man and two children were also taken to hospital with suspected minor injuries, before being released. The 20-year-old woman remains in hospital and has been described as stable but sadly, the 36-year-old woman later passed away.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, saw these vehicles in the area at the relevant times or anyone living in the area with CCTV or ring doorbells is asked to contact the investigation team on 101 with any information.
Police investigating the death of a 27-year-old woman following a collision on the A484 between Cardigan and Llechryd last night (Saturday, 29 January) are appealing for witnesses. Officers are keen to speak to anyone who would have been on that route between 10pm and 11pm, or who may have relevant dashcam or doorbell footage. Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a two vehicle road traffic collision which occurred shortly before 3.55pm on Sunday, 9th January, 2022 on the A470 near Erwood, Powys. The vehicles involved were a motorcycle with a sidecar and a Land Rover Defender. The male rider of the motorcycle was taken to hospital with what are believed to be life changing injuries.

Dyfed-Powys Police received a report of a three vehicle road traffic collision on the A40, between Bwlch and Crickhowell, at approximately 10:15am on Wednesday 22nd December.
A Land Rover collided with a public transport bus after an oncoming vehicle caused it to break but thankfully, nobody was injured. Officers attended to assist with the blockage to the road and recovery of the vehicles. The local authority were informed due to spillages on the road. Both vehicles were recovered at approximately 12:10pm. Enquiries are ongoing to locate the oncoming vehicle involved in the incident.

Dyfed-Powys Police is investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the A458, between Llanfair Caereinion and Llanerfyl, at approximately 6:45pm on Tuesday, 21st December 2021.
The collision involved two cars, a black Nissan Navara and a silver Volkswagen Golf. Sadly, the 36-year-old man driving the Volkswagen passed away. Next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

A fatal road traffic collision occurred at approximately 7.15am, Thursday 27th May 2021 on the A487 near Tanygroes, Ceredigion. The vehicles involved were a green Mini Countryman and a white Toyota. A serious road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 3.25pm on the unclassified road from Llangattock to Llangynidr Mountain (B4560) involving three vehicles; a Suzuki Vitara, a Ford Fiesta and a Lorry. Three people were conveyed to hospital and the road was closed until 8.40pm. At 11:45 am there was a fatal collision on the A483 between Crossgates and Llanbister involving a green Kawasaki motorcycle and a silver Ford S-Max. if you witnessed the accident or have any information or dashcam footage please contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference 197 of August 25.
At around 4.30pm a fatal collision occured involving three vehicles, a Blue Ford Fusion, a Black Vauxhall Astra and a Morrisons lorry. Sadly a 77 year old man died at the scene and several casualties were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At 5.50pm there was a fatal accident between a silver Suzuki motorcycle and a red Toyota Landcruiser on the A458 by the entrance to the Golf Course. A serious two vehicle head on collision happened around 07:10 on the B4386 requiring the drivers to be cut free by Fire & Rescue units and attended to by the Wales Air Ambulance. Both male drivers were taken to hospital. The scene is being investigated by the West Mercia Police and Dyfed Powys Police. Any information especially in-car camera footage woud be welcome.
