IMPORTANT

Before commencing any exercise routine at home or at a gymnasium, it is recommended to be assessed by a qualified instructor using a 'ParQ' questionairre, this will highlight any issues that need to be discussed with your doctor prior to exercising.

Exercise routines cover many aspects of fitness such as Cardio ; Balance ; Strength and Flexibility.

We need to exercise our hearts (Cardio) by pushing it beyond our normal heartrate at rest to help strengthen the heart muscle.  We also need to improve our balance and our flexibility, which in turn also helps strengthen our 'Core' muscles and reduce problems such as backache.

Professional exercise equipment can cost a small fortune to buy.

Cheaper versions or suitable alternatives are often available online or in chain stores.

But why waste hundreds of pounds on equipment when you can use whatever you already have or can even make your own !

The hardest part of exercise is the maintaining of motivation.

You are far more likely to continue if you have support to do it.

So why not team up with a friend or two, then during the week alternate holding 'Coffee Exercise' mornings, exercise together and gain extra benefit from the social aspect too.

You could always take it a step further and really make a difference, use your small coffee mornings as a way to help one of your local local charities such as those below.
